After retirement I decided to convert the crop land on our 96 acre farm to grazing and hay production. I bought the first two head of cattle in 2008 and in 2009 purchased 3 more.  Beef is sold by the quarter, half, etc. We use White Front Market out of Cokato for the slaughter and processing. The beef is packaged and cut to your instructions.

We bought the land in 1982 when it was a corn field and have planted and replanted dwarf apple trees since then. We grow Zestar, Paula Red, Wealthy, Ginger Gold, Riverbelle, Cortland, E68, Honeycrisp, Sweet 16, Haralson, DS14 and Sweet Bee. Our apples are picked for you at the peak of flavor.

Planting, growing, harvesting, and processing the sorghum into delicious sweet syrup is a family affair, a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation for over 100 years.

The Lamb Shoppe is a charming specialty farm store located 10 miles west of Hutchinson on Hwy 7. The Shoppe features natural foods, unique local products & gifts, organic produce, healthy personal care items, nontoxic makeup, bulk medicinal herbs & teas and supplements. In addition, the Shoppe also offers grass-fed farm raised meats including lamb, beef, chicken, eggs and turkeys (Seasonally).  

The Wellness Center is comprised of a team of professionals who work independently to help empower health & wellness to the community. The Wellness Center offers a variety of holistic options, including nutrition, herbal medicine, massage therapy, reiki, Biomat Infrared Therapy, sound therapy, thermography, IonCleanse, and more.  

The Lamb Shoppe & Wellness Center also features a variety of educational classes, including nutrition & healthy living, herbal medicine studies, sheep shearing workshops, and much more. A few of our annual events include our spring Wellness Workshop, Garden Tea Party, and Fall Farm Festival.

Long before our vines took root, our lush pasture land was grazed by our registered Holstein dairy herd. We have since transitioned our farmland into Jomas Hill Vineyard. Driven by our appreciation for the land and a desire to make excellent wine, we envisioned creating a space for people to be able to connect to the land through the vineyard. Here at Jomas Hill, we are a family owned and operated vineyard and winery but we’re not just about growing grapes and making wine – we’re building community. Grounded in childhood summers on family farms, gardening and preserving the harvest sparked a lasting passion. After a 40-year career in meeting planning, a yearning for rural life led to a bold career shift in 2023. I launched Hummingbird Farm in 2024.  Black Garlic became a signature product that I enjoy sharing with the community.

My heart is in the country, but my home is in town. I'm Kaitlin Tolkkinen, a wife, and mom of 5 littles. We live in a little old house, smack-dab in the heart of Cokato. We are making the most of the plot of land we have. Our backyard contains cut flower gardens and a pink chicken coop where our pet...er... laying chickens reside. My favorite place is in the kitchen, turning "ingredients" into delicious food. I am a registered cottage foods producer, specializing in sourdough of every form - my absolute favorite thing to make and eat. I opened a self-serve market stand to sell my organic cut flower bouquets, breads, eggs, and anything else we produce on our homestead.

The raw and unfiltered honey is straight from our hives to your home. Our honey has a light sweet flavor with the main nectar source being clover, basswood and wild flowers just south of Cokato. Sweet Bee is run by Keegan,  a 4th generation beekeeper.
